To change the default program used for sending and receiving emails on Windows 10:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.

  2. Select Settings.

    Keyboard shortcut: You can press Windows I to open Windows settings.
    Select "Settings" in the "Start" menu

  3. Now choose Apps on the Windows Settings screen.

    Choose "Apps"

  4. Open the Default apps section under Apps.

  5. Click the currently selected application under Email.

  6. Now select the desired program from the list.

    Example: Select Outlook to make Outlook your default email program for Windows.

  7. Close the Settings window.
